Global 50 Ranking Results and Learnings: More global and more regional, more consolidated and more fragmented.
A debate on the paradox trends as seen through the Global 50 Ranking of the International Publishing Industry 2019.
Who are the leading publishers in Europe, or North America, in China or in Latin America? Which forces drive industry consolidation? What shapes the global rights market? Why are educational markets both in trouble, and yet offering transformative opportunities? Why are "emerging economies", once overhyped, then downgraded, and now showing most diverse developments. A tour d'horizon with the editors of leading international trade publications, featuring Fabrice Piault (Livres Hebdo, France), Sanguo Cheng (Bookdao, China), Rachel Deahl (Publishers' Weekly, USA). Moderator: Rüdiger Wischenbart
