BEYOND THE BOOK 2019
WHAT ARE WE TALKING AT JUMPSTART THIS YEAR IN INDIA

The two of many key features of Jumpstart this year:

1. We’ve come a long way… or have we? An overview of Indian children’s literature landscape
Growth or decline in book sales in English and other Indian Languages.
What kids of books work? Print, e-books, audio books? Any new tech advances? Innovative distribution? Books to other mediums/products? What genres worked in the year 2018?
What are the trends? What is the position of Indian children’s books in the international market? Where’s the next bestseller coming from?

2. Mom Can Write!
"I wrote a story, and my kid loves it!" An often-heard line from mother’s attempting their first books. But is their child’s opinion representative of a wider one? Or can parents be better authors than other? Experts from the field provide insights for first-time parent authors as well as a wider audience.
