In order to promote India’s literary diversity on international forums, Frankfurter Buchmesse and JLF’s JBM have come together to bring Indian authors to the new ideas space which has become the heart of the fair - “The Book Fest at the Pavilion”. Frankfurter Buchmesse provides a very fertile ground for furthering international cultural and literature exchange, and JLF has made its mark in showcasing Indian literature and authors. This entails inviting Indian authors to speak at the various events during the fair. JLF will feature as partner for such activities. Strong presence in Frankfurter Buchmesse offers plentiful networking opportunity to inform the trade audience about JLF and its B2B forums. Under this cooperation, Sara Rai, author and translator will be participating at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2019 and JBM will present a session on Indian market and the festival itself. 
Sessions Plan at Frankfurter Buchmesse
1. 16th October - Sara Rai on “Women and Literature in Asia Pacific” together with Alice Grünfelder , Chuah Guat Eng, Feby Indirani at FRANKFURT PAVILION (AGORA).
A conversation among writers from Malaysia, India, and Indonesia discussing their writing, stereotypes in literature and their position as woman writers.
Sara Rai, born in Allahabad (India) in 1956, is one of the most important women writers of her country. She writes her works in Hindi, the most spoken of English and Chinese Language of the world. It represents a generation of Indian authors, the most diverse influences from European, American and Indian literature integrate into their work. 
Sara Rai is honored with the Coburg Rückert Prize, which she presented on May 16, 2019, three days before its reading in Heidelberg.

Jaipur BookMark comes to Frankfurt Buchmesse 2019 for the very first time to celebrate the diversity in Indian publishing. With more than 9,000 publishers who serve nearly a billion readers, the book trade in India is now valued at U$D 6.76 billion, according to Nielsen estimates. Publishers and booksellers from across India share their success mantras.
