FRANKFURTER BUCHMESSE 2020
FRANKFURT EXTENDS THE BOOKFEST DEADLINE BY 15 JULY

Be part of BOOKFEST 2020 - Apply by 15 July

The entire city of Frankfurt becomes an enthusiastic extension of Frankfurter Buchmesse. The media event of the year attracts thousands of visitors, exhibitors, artists, stars and journalists. One of the most exciting event programmes is BOOKFEST. This international festival takes place in attractive locations throughout the city each evening after the book fair ends. Our motto: BIGGER, BETTER, BOOKFEST. From bestseller readings at the fair in Frankfurt, to poetry slams, tastings and discussion rounds in Frankfurt bars and cultural institutions: every year in October, everything in Frankfurt revolves around literature, inspiration and exciting encounters. Over five days, publishing experts, writers, artists and culture enthusiasts from all over the world meet to celebrate the BOOKFEST together.
The key theme, you’ll recall, is “Brave Voices for a New Decade,” and the intent is to give writers with “courageous voices” a forum, particularly with relevance to current events.
What's in it for you:
/ Benefit from the international reach of Frankfurter Buchmesse and take advantage of BOOKFEST as a platform to broadcast your brand and message.
/ Reach a diverse audience and increase your popularity throughout Frankfurt.
/ Take advantage of BOOKFEST to reach attractive target groups and leverage the image of the world’s largest book fair for yourself and your company.
/ BOOKFEST offers you the opportunity to create an individualised presentation outside of Frankfurter Buchmesse. Put your programme in the spotlight in a unique atmosphere.
When Frankfurt celebrates stories, yours needs to be there too. Be part of BOOKFEST 2020 with your event or location. Just fill out the form describing your event idea by 15 July.

IT’S A MATCH! FRANKFURTER BUCHMESSE AND THE ARTS+
LAUNCH NEW FORMAT "PITCH YOUR CIP WHERE YOUR CONTENT BECOMES A GAME, A BOOK, A FILM" ON FACEBOOK

© Frankfurter Buchmesse

For over 500 years, Frankfurter Buchmesse has been the most important marketplace for stories, ideas and content. No other place in the world trades in more creative content. With the founding of THE ARTS+, Frankfurter Buchmesse created a future-oriented gateway between publishing and the international creative industry (film/TV, art/museums, music, games, etc.). The focus of THE ARTS+ is also on trading in Creative Intellectual Property; it showcases innovative content, creative business models and technologies such as AI, VR, AR and XR. Perhaps most importantly, THE ARTS+ is the place where international content professionals form new partnerships and make deals.
It is precisely this same focus that THE ARTS+ now wants to reflect with “Pitch your CIP”, by creating a forum for networking.
Participating is easy. Joining the Facebook group "Pitch your CIP" is the first step. The group is aimed at content professionals and businesses that want to (re)market their Creative Intellectual Property and at rights managers, publishing experts, agents, film and games experts, business developers, IT specialists, investors, start-ups, multipliers and influencers. It allows for moderated and guided dialogue between members. Those who wish to pitch creative content themselves can create a short video clip presenting their creative intellectual property and post it personally in the group. The aim is not just to market creative content unilaterally but also to promote professional dialogue between all group members and the development of partnerships.
